Singaporeans can get really riled up and defensive when it comes to matters of the ‘face’ sometimes. Maybe all Asians are like that. But Singaporeans are extreme cases, they go by the motto of
“die-die cannot lose face lah!!”
Or it’s simply because there isn’t much to get worked up about in their perfect little mundane lives. [...]
